- QSCRIPTS.DOC MARCH 2, 1986
-
-
- I don't think there is anything too outstanding about the scripts in this
- archive, but they may give you a little extra head start in developing you
- own scripts. I do think they demonstrate a bit of the power that is
- available in QMODEM ver 2.0 scripts. I expect John will even expand the
- range of script commands available in future versions of QMODEM since he
- has shown no hint yet that his innovation has been tapped out!
-
- I is worth noting that these scripts are interlocked. That is they all
- call BEEP.SCR when the want your attention and END.SCR which in turn calls
- BEEP.SCR when they REALLY want your attention. Simply hitting Y when the
- thing keeps beeping at you will immediately put you back in command of your
- computer.
-
- These scripts customized with your name and passwords along with BEEP.SCR
- and END.SCR should be in the directory you assigned for scripts when you
- ran QINSTALL. If you the left the script directory path blank, that means
- that they are in the same directory (or on the same disk) as your other
- QMODEM programs.
-
- All of these scripts are intended to be linked to the dialing directory
- (except BEEP.SCR and END.SCR). Be sure to use the convert utility provided
- with QMODEM ver 2.0 to convert your old QMODEM.FON so that it has a place to
- indicate the linked script for each number in the directory.
-
- These script have been setup for an IBM-PC/XT with a color graphics monitor and
- DEVICE=ANSI.SYS in the bootup CONFIG.SYS file. They have been tested on a
- Hayes 1200B and a MultiTech 224 modem on COM1 and COM2. Some modifications
- may be required for other equipment configurations.
-
- I hope you find these scripts helpful,
- Dwight Illk
